
Ken leads the firm’s Health Care Department, concentrating his practice in health care facility representation, including civil litigation, complex Medicaid eligibility cases, Fair Hearings, Article 78 proceedings, guardianships and resolutions of all issues related to residents’ financial accounts and health care facilities’ bottom lines.
Ken is a pioneer in his field. He is recognized for his superior advocacy skills and incomparable negotiating abilities. Ken not only sets the standard in health care facility representation but is responsible for numerous court and fair hearing decisions which have changed the Medicaid and guardianship landscape, leading to increased collection rates for his health care facility clients. Ken regularly provides inservice seminars for health care facilities as well as continuing education programs for health care administrators.
Ken is a New York State Certified Guardian, Court Evaluator, and Counsel to Incapacitated Persons and has worked in the mental health field for over 15 years both as a case manager and as a direct care counselor with mentally ill and developmentally disabled adults.
Ken received his Bachelor’s degree from Stony Brook University and was a merit scholar at Hofstra University School of Law, where he received his Juris Doctor degree with honors.
