Midnight Run:
GDGC supports Midnight Run, a volunteer organization "dedicated to finding common ground between the housed and the homeless." Established in 1984 with over 900 relief missions per year, Midnight Run is a consortium of churches, synagogues, schools and civic groups that collect food, clothes, household goods, blankets and personal care items for distribution among the homeless. Volunteers, such as the GDGC staff in 2008, 2011 and 2013, are responsible for collecting and/or purchasing hundreds of these items, preparing 100-150 bag meals the day of the “run” and personally delivering the food and goods to the homeless during the hours of 10:30 pm to 2:00 am on a given scheduled evening. 2013 MS Walk:
Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a chronic, disabling disease that attacks the central nervous system, including the brain, spinal cord and optic nerves. It is a disease of the immune system that affects more than 7,000 people in the New York community alone.
WALK MS began in 1988 to raise funds for research, education and advocacy. Since its inception, WALK MS participants have raised more than $10 Million. The money raised allows the National MS Society to address the challenges of people affected by MS.
This year, GDGC is sponsoring a team: GDGC’s The Lovers and the Fighters. The walk will take place on April 28, 2013 beginning at 9:30 AM at South Street Seaport in New York City. The 6 mile walk begins in downtown Manhattan and passes over the beautiful and historic Brooklyn Bridge.

Long Island 'Fight for Charity':
Over the past nine years, the Long Island Fight for Charity has been one of the most anticipated events on Long Island, as local businessmen and women volunteer to train and box to raise money and awareness for various local charities on Long Island. The event brings together dozens of participating businesses, sponsors, supporters and volunteers. The event has raised over $700,000 on behalf of local charities, impacting the lives of thousands of families in our local community. GDGC has sponsored three of its attorneys to box in the event and we are proud to have raised almost $10,000 in support of the Long Island Fight for Charity causes - The Genesis School, Long Island Community Chest and National Foundation for Human Potential.
