The Achieving a Better Life Experience Act (ABLE Act) was signed into law by the President on December 19, 2014 allowing tax-free savings accounts, similar to 529 College Savings Plans, to be established for individuals with special needs.  Similar to Special Needs Trusts, these new savings plans allow disabled individuals to maintain money for education, housing, employment training, transportation, and more – without disrupting eligibility for government benefits.

Paul Hyl, Esq., Partner, Cona Elder Law, will discuss the advantages, disadvantages and what you need to know to determine if an ABLE Act account is right for your family.

Free and Open to the Public
