Melissa Negrin-Wiener, Esq. Partner at Cona Elder Law, Honored by Hofstra as an Outstanding Woman in Law

Melissa Negrin-Wiener, elder law attorney and partner at Cona Elder Law, a leading elder law and estate planning firm in Melville, recently received the Outstanding Woman in Law award given by Hofstra University Maurice A. Deane School of Law for 2017.  She joins Jennifer Cona, Cona Elder Law managing partner, and Roseanne Beovich, Cona Elder Law senior associate, who won this award in its inaugural year in 2016.

Judge Gail Prudential, Hofstra Law Dean, honored 47 deserving women during the second annual reception at Carlyle on the Green with nearly 300 people in attendance that Included judges, attorneys, business executives and professors.   Lieutenant Governor of NYS Kathleen C. Hochul delivered the keynote address.

The award celebrates women who have made meaningful and inspirational contributions to the legal community.  "This year’s recipients are advocates for the underrepresented and are leaders in the workplace, community and serve as role models for young women aspiring to join the legal profession," said Judge Prudenti.  "It was an honor to recognize such a diverse and accomplished group of women."
