Medicaid Transfer Plan
A carefully constructed asset transfer and protection plan is an important tool for Medicaid planning and should be created in advance so your parent can leave his or her hard earned money to heirs. Asset transfers can be made outright or to a trust, between spouses or to the children. There may be tax and Medicaid consequences to such transfers, which should be discussed with your Elder Law attorney.
