Melissa Negrin-Wiener
Melissa Negrin-Wiener is a senior associate attorney in the Elder Law Division of the law firm of Genser, Dubow, Genser & Cona LLP. Ms. Negrin-Wiener concentrates her practice in the areas of asset protection planning, Medicaid planning, disability planning, guardianships and estate planning. Ms. Negrin-Wiener supervises the preparation of Medicaid applications for both nursing home care and home and community-based care. Ms. Negrin-Wiener is a State Certified Guardian ad Litem and Court Evaluator.
Ms. Negrin-Wiener is a member of the Nassau and Suffolk County Bar Associations Elder Law Committees, the New York State Bar Association, the Gerontology Professionals of New York, the Senior Umbrella Networks of Suffolk County and Nassau County, the Suffolk County Women’s Bar Association and the Advanced Elder Law Focus Group. In addition, Ms. Negrin-Wiener is the past secretary of the Senior Umbrella Network of Suffolk County as well as the secretary of the Smithtown Lioness, an organization that raises money to assist the elderly, blind and disabled in her community.
Ms. Negrin-Wiener has been featured in Newsday’s “Ask the Expert Column” as well as in various community newsletters.
Melissa Negrin-Wiener graduated from Binghamton University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy, Politics and Law and received her Juris Doctor from Hofstra University School of Law.
