Paul Hyl is a senior associate in the law firm of Genser Dubow Genser & Cona LLP.  Mr. Hyl practices exclusively in the field of Trusts and Estate and Elder Law, and supervises the firm’s Estate Planning and Estate Administration divisions.  Mr. Hyl advises clients regarding general and sophisticated estate planning matters, Medicaid planning, charitable giving and estate and gift taxation issues.  Mr. Hyl practices before the Surrogate’s Courts of Nassau and Suffolk Counties, the five boroughs of the City of New York and Westchester County.  Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Hyl served as of counsel to the Nassau County Public Administrator.  Mr. Hyl is a Member of the New York State Bar Association, and its Elder Law and Trusts and Estates Sections.  Locally, Mr. Hyl is a member of the Suffolk County Bar Association, where he is a member of its Surrogate’s Court Committee. Mr. Hyl received his Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Dowling College and his Juris Doctor from St. John’s University School of Law.  Mr. Hyl is a former member of the Farmingville Volunteer Fire Department, where he volunteered as a Firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician, as well as serving as Recording Secretary of the Department.
