Help Support Project Warmth

As a United Way of Long Island Board Member, Cona Elder Law Managing Partner Jennifer Cona is asking for your help.

This winter has been one of the coldest on record. Many seniors and families on Long Island are facing a fuel and heating crisis. A financial set-back -- that could happen to any of us -- is leaving our vulnerable neighbors enduring frigid temperatures in their homes.

United Way of Long Island operates the only non-governmental energy heating fund, Project Warmth. This program is crucial for families who are facing energy insecurity and have exhausted all other options.

Project Warmth provides a one-time grant to cover fuel, heating and utility payments on behalf of eligible residents facing heating emergencies. Our neighbors need help; demand for assistance has increased 400% over last year.

On behalf of United Way of Long Island, Board Member Jennifer Cona and all of us at Cona Elder Law, thank you.
